LAHORE: The Punjab Police<\/a> has launched<\/span> a digital<\/span> e-license program<\/span> that<\/span> gives<\/span> drivers a<\/span> digital<\/span> version<\/span> of<\/span> their<\/span> licenses<\/span>. This program<\/span> attempts<\/span> to reduce<\/span> the<\/span> problem<\/span> of<\/span> unlicensed driving and make<\/span> it<\/span> easier<\/span> for law<\/span> enforcement<\/span> agencies<\/span> to<\/span> verify<\/span> licenses<\/span> during<\/span> vehicle<\/span> stops<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Drivers can now access<\/span> their counterpart<\/span> digital driving license<\/a>-permitting\u00a0e-license system from<\/span> their cellular<\/span> devices<\/span>, and<\/span> it<\/span> will<\/span> serve<\/span> as a<\/span> legitimate<\/span> proof of a<\/span> license when asked<\/span> by the<\/span> police<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Key features<\/span> of the Punjab e<\/span>–license<\/span> system<\/span>: Access<\/span> to<\/span> digital<\/span> licenses<\/span>: Eligible citizens will<\/span> access their e-license by visiting the website (dlims.punjab.gov.pk), clicking<\/span> the License Information tab, and clicking<\/span> the E-License button<\/span>.<\/p>\n

How to Download E-License<\/a><\/h2>\n

Downloading<\/span>: Users submit<\/span> their CNIC number,<\/span> date of birth and<\/span> then click the download<\/span> button to obtain<\/span> their e<\/span>–<\/span>license downloaded<\/span> to<\/span> PDF format.<\/p>\n
