{"id":70628,"date":"2025-04-14T16:33:33","date_gmt":"2025-04-14T11:33:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=70628"},"modified":"2025-04-14T16:33:33","modified_gmt":"2025-04-14T11:33:33","slug":"nine-sheesha-cafes-sealed-in-islamabad-64-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/nine-sheesha-cafes-sealed-in-islamabad-64-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Nine &#8216;Sheesha Cafes&#8217; sealed in Islamabad, 64 arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a joint operation conducted by Islamabad&#8217;s district administration and local police, nine <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/renowned-bakery-cafe-sealed-in-islamabad-over-hygiene-violations\/\">Sheesha cafes<\/a> were sealed, and 64 individuals, including 60 men and four women, were arrested during late-night raids on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Out of the nine cafes, three cafes were located in Bharia Town Islamabad.\u00a0With the Raids, Police also confiscated 110 <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/no-fireworks-allowed-on-new-years-eve-in-punjab-police\/\">hubble bubbles<\/a> along with flavors. The police registered a case against the arrested persons and also initiated an investigation.<\/p>\n<p>This event is part of a large campaign and crackdown to enforce laws and regulations in the capital.<\/p>\n<p>A similar operation was conducted in Lahore in February 2025, where police arrested 24 people, including five women, during a raid on <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/featured\/ecp-hearing-on-intra-party-elections-pti-chairman-defends-partys-stance\/\">Sheesha party<\/a> in the Ghalib Market area.<\/p>\n<p>Superintendent of Police Akhlaq Ahmad Tarar stated that the police team recovered four smoking sheeshas, three sheesha flavors, and a music sound system, indicating that those arrested were holding a sheesha party.<\/p>\n<p>The Lahore police were directed to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against crimes, dealing with anyone involved in criminal activities according to the law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a joint operation conducted by Islamabad&#8217;s district administration and local police, nine Sheesha cafes were sealed, and 64 individuals, including 60 men and four women, were arrested during late-night raids on Sunday.
