HAFIZABAD: <\/strong>A tragic<\/span> event<\/span> took<\/span> place<\/span> at<\/span> the Qila Sahib Singh area of Hafizabad, where three children died<\/span> and five others were in<\/span> life<\/span>–<\/span>threatening<\/span> condition<\/span> after eating<\/span> poisonous sweets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The children aged from<\/span> six to<\/span> 13 years were playing outside their houses<\/span> when an unidentified man who<\/span> turned<\/span> out<\/span> to<\/span> be<\/span> a<\/span> rickshaw driver gave<\/span> them sweets.<\/p>\n

At<\/span> first<\/span>,<\/span> they<\/span> enjoyed<\/span> the<\/span> sweets<\/span>, but<\/span> as<\/span> the children began to show<\/span> severe symptoms of poisoning, the<\/span> family<\/span> members<\/span> took<\/span> them to the District Head<\/span> Quarters <\/span><\/a>(DHQ) Hospital Hafizabad.<\/p>\n

Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, three of the children succumbed to the poisoning, leaving their families in shock and grief. The deceased children were identified, and their bodies were handed over to their families after medico-legal formalities, including post-mortem examinations.<\/p>\n

The remaining five children, all close relatives of the deceased, were provided emergency treatment before being referred to Children’s Hospital Lahore for specialized care due to their critical condition.<\/p>\n

Each<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> relatives<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> deceased<\/span> children<\/span> was<\/span> provided<\/span> with treatment<\/span>.<\/span> The<\/span> Hafizabad City Police began<\/span> proceedings<\/span> against an unknown Rickshaw<\/span> Driver<\/span> based on a written<\/span> complaint of<\/span> Shahbaz, (<\/span>Father<\/span> of one deceased<\/span> child<\/span> known<\/span> as<\/span> Danish)<\/span>. A formal<\/span> investigation report<\/span> was prepared<\/span> and forwarded<\/span> to<\/span> District<\/span> Police<\/span> Officer<\/span> Hafizabad<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq expressed deep<\/span> sadness<\/span> over the tragic loss of innocent lives, stating that the district administration would leave no stone unturned to<\/span> make<\/span> sure<\/span> justice is delivered<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The incident shocked<\/span> the community.<\/span> It<\/span> is<\/span> now<\/span> more<\/span> important<\/span> than<\/span> ever<\/span> for us<\/span> to<\/span> be<\/span> vigilant<\/span> in saving\u00a0the lives of citizens, especially<\/span> those<\/span> of<\/span> children,<\/span> while<\/span> giving<\/span> assurance<\/span> to<\/span> others<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
