ISLAMABAD: The residents of the federal capital witnessed hailstorms<\/a> after experiencing hot weather, which resulted in pelting<\/a> the city with abnormally huge hailstones on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Major roads throughout the city came to a halt as drivers scrambled to protect themselves and their vehicles from the attack.<\/p>\n

Social media was quickly flooded with footage and photos of cracked windshields, dented car bodies, and hail-covered streets.<\/p>\n

Video footage of a hailstorm damaging the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad has also taken over Social media, showcasing the intensity of the hailstorm earlier in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Pakistan Meteorological Department had predicted sporadic rain but not hail of such intensity. Authorities are now examining the damage and issuing updated advisories.<\/p>\n
