{"id":71007,"date":"2025-04-17T10:46:28","date_gmt":"2025-04-17T05:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=71007"},"modified":"2025-04-17T10:46:28","modified_gmt":"2025-04-17T05:46:28","slug":"dead-bodies-of-eight-pakistanis-killed-in-iran-repatriated-to-bahawalpur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/dead-bodies-of-eight-pakistanis-killed-in-iran-repatriated-to-bahawalpur\/","title":{"rendered":"Dead bodies of eight Pakistanis killed in Iran repatriated to Bahawalpur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BAHAWALPUR: The bodies of eight Pakistanis brutally murdered in <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/iran-fm-says-uranium-enrichment-non-negotiable-after-trump-envoy-urged-halt\/\">Iran<\/a> were brought to Bahawalpur Airport by a special plane late Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>The plane landed in the Iranian city of Zahedan so that the bodies could be collected before being flown back to Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>A grand condolence ceremony was held at the airport to pay their respects to the deceased, attended by civil and military officials.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was also attended by Iranian officials and other high-ranking representatives, including the governor of Zahedan, who paid tribute to the slain Pakistanis.<\/p>\n<p>The bodies were later taken by road to the deceased\u2019s hometown of Ahmadpur Sharqia.<\/p>\n<p>Eight Pakistani nationals were killed on Saturday in Hazabad village in Mehrestan district of Iran\u2019s Sistan and Baluchestan province.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased were identified as mechanics who were shot dead while working in a workshop.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian media reports said the deceased were mechanics.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop owner, Dilshad, and his son Naeem, along with Jafar, Danish and Nasir, all from Punjab, are among the victims.<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian embassy has strongly condemned the cowardly attack on Pakistani citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian embassy spokesperson said that terrorism is a long-standing plague and a common threat to the entire region.<\/p>\n<p>The embassy said that treacherous elements are targeting peace and stability in collaboration with international terrorists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BAHAWALPUR: The bodies of eight Pakistanis brutally murdered in Iran were brought to Bahawalpur Airport by a special plane late Wednesday night.
