ISLAMABAD: In a recent educational development, the Hungary government has announced 400 fully funded scholarships<\/a> for Pakistani students during a recent visit to Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Deputy<\/span> Prime<\/span> Minister<\/span> and Minister<\/span> of<\/span> Foreign<\/span> Affairs<\/span> <\/a>Ishaq<\/span> Dar<\/span> hosted<\/span> Hungarian Foreign Minister P\u00e9ter Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3 in<\/span> Pakistan and welcomed an<\/span> opportunity to increase<\/span> cooperation between the two countries<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The<\/span> Deputy<\/span> Prime<\/span> Minister<\/span> referred<\/span> to<\/span> Hungary as a “positive and beneficial friend” of<\/span> Pakistan and<\/span> expressed<\/span> appreciation<\/span> for<\/span> Hungary’s contributions to Pakistan’s industrial sector,<\/span> mentioning<\/span>,<\/span> for<\/span> example<\/span>,<\/span> establishing<\/span> partnerships like the Mughal Group that<\/span> has allowed<\/span> over 100 people<\/span> to receive<\/span> skills training<\/span> in the<\/span> areas<\/span> of<\/span> trade and industry.<\/p>\n

The two countries executed<\/span> several<\/span> bilateral<\/span> Memoranda of Understanding<\/a> (MoUs) that<\/span> will<\/span> strengthen<\/span> cooperation between<\/span> them<\/span> in trade and industry.<\/p>\n

Topics<\/span> include<\/span> regional challenges and<\/span> issues<\/span>, such<\/span> as<\/span> the situation in Gaza and the<\/span> security concerns facing<\/span> Pakistan<\/span> from Afghanistan. Dar referred<\/span> to<\/span> ongoing\u00a0diplomacy<\/span> between Pakistan and Afghanistan, and<\/span> the<\/span> Hungarian<\/span> response was<\/span> positive<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This<\/span> visit was<\/span> momentous<\/span>, as<\/span> both countries<\/span> celebrated<\/span> 60 years of diplomatic relations. The Hungarian Foreign Minister voiced<\/span> the need for<\/span> both<\/span> countries<\/span> to<\/span> further<\/span> deepen<\/span> their<\/span> relationships<\/span>, including in<\/span> trade, industry, and culture, while<\/span> also<\/span> identifying<\/span> a<\/span> few<\/span> shared<\/span> traits<\/span>. This is expected to further<\/span> bring<\/span> the<\/span> countries<\/span> closer together through<\/span> more<\/span> cooperation and understanding.<\/p>\n
