{"id":71482,"date":"2025-04-21T19:01:10","date_gmt":"2025-04-21T14:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=71482"},"modified":"2025-04-21T19:01:10","modified_gmt":"2025-04-21T14:01:10","slug":"govt-announces-new-motorways-in-sindh-kpk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/govt-announces-new-motorways-in-sindh-kpk\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt announces new motorways in Sindh, KPK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/motorway-travel-costs-surge-as-nha-raises-toll-taxes-again\/\">(NHA)<\/a> Central Zone convened a high-level meeting, chaired by Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, to discuss key infrastructure plans, including two big <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/truck-coach-accident-leaves-10-dead-8-injured-on-indus-highway\/\">highway<\/a> projects costing $2 billion that would begin in Sindh this year.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the conference, Abdul Aleem Khan said that plans are ongoing to open the Mansehra-Naran and Kaghan highways in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) within the same time.<\/p>\n<p>The minister also stated that important projects such as the Sukkur-Hyderabad and Karachi highways are underway in Sindh, and that these efforts demonstrate the government&#8217;s commitment to increasing national connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Aleem Khan stated that construction has already begun to convert the N25 highway in Balochistan,,which connects Quetta to Karachi, into a four-lane road equivalent in design and quality to a motorway.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted that all projects will be finished within specified time frames, and that fortnightly meetings will be held to guarantee ongoing monitoring and responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Calling for greater operational standards, the minister instructed NHA staff to make their presentations more meaningful and result-oriented. He also directed the administration to improve the visual appeal of municipal gates under NHA management.<\/p>\n<p>During his visit to the NHA headquarters, the federal minister also planted a seedling in support of a green program.
