RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 71 terrorists<\/a>, including those trying to infiltrate, in a series of successful operations near<\/span> the Pak-Afghan border in the last three days.<\/p>\n

According to the military’s media wing, at least 54 khwarij were naturalized<\/a> on April 25 and 26 in North Waziristan District, after which a deliberate sanitisation operation was conducted on April 27 and 28.<\/p>\n

During the operation in the surrounding areas of Hassan Khel, NWD, along the Pakistan-Afghanistan Border, 17 more terrorists, <\/span>who were operating on the behest of their Indian masters, were hunted down and successfully neutralized, the ISPR said in a brief statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, the ISPR said that “weapons, ammunition & explosives were also recovered from the killed khwarij.” The number of khwarij\u00a0<\/i>killed in three days anti inflation operation has risen to 71,” the statement added.<\/p>\n

“The security forces remain committed to securing the nation\u2019s frontiers and thwarting attempts at sabotaging peace, stability, and progress of Pakistan,” it added.<\/p>\n

Earlier on the night of April 26 and 27, the security forces detected movement of a large group of khwarij trying to infiltrate through the Pak-Afghan border in the general area Hassan Khel of North Waziristan.<\/p>\n

The troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate, killing all fifty-four khawarij.<\/p>\n

Intelligence reports indicated that “this group of khawarij was specifically infiltrating on the behest of their foreign masters” to undertake high-profile terrorist activities inside Pakistan.<\/p>\n

“Such actions by Fitna al Khwarij (FAK), at a time when India is leveling baseless accusations against Pakistan, clearly imply whose cues FAK is operating,” the statement read.<\/p>\n
