{"id":72678,"date":"2025-05-01T18:39:45","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T13:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=72678"},"modified":"2025-05-01T18:39:45","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T13:39:45","slug":"pakistan-allows-150-afghan-goods-truck-to-enter-india-via-wagah-border","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-allows-150-afghan-goods-truck-to-enter-india-via-wagah-border\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan allows 150 Afghan goods truck to enter India via Wagah border"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Following the government&#8217;s decision to close the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/indian-high-commission-staff-leaves-pakistan-via-wagah-border\/\"> border<\/a> with India, Pakistan has now accepted the Afghan government&#8217;s request to allow 150 trucks to enter India on Thursday, according to the Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was made after the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/uncategorized\/repatriation-of-illegal-afghan-residents-continues-at-rapid-pace\/\"> Afghan Embassy<\/a> in Pakistan made a Formal request to the Pakistan government to allow the trucks to enter India.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Foreign Office, only those Afghan trucks that had entered Pakistan before April 25 have been granted permission to proceed to India. A detailed list of 150 such trucks has been forwarded to the relevant authorities to facilitate smooth cross-border movement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ministry has the honour to inform that in view of the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the government of Pakistan has decided to permit stranded Afghan trucks, carrying goods in transit to India, which entered Pakistan before April 25, 2025, to cross the Wagah Border for delivering the goods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe list of 150 trucks provided by the esteemed embassy has been transmitted to the concerned authorities,\u201d the foreign ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>In an attempt to assess the situation further, the Foreign Office also requested that the Afghan authorities provide information on any other stalled vehicles that would need clearance.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, following the decision made in the National Security Committee (NSC), Pakistan&#8217;s government halted third country trade with India post Pahalgam false flag operation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Following the government&#8217;s decision to close the border with India, Pakistan has now accepted the Afghan government&#8217;s request to allow 150 trucks to enter India on Thursday, according to the Foreign Ministry.
