{"id":72717,"date":"2025-05-01T23:57:33","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T18:57:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=72717"},"modified":"2025-05-01T23:57:33","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T18:57:33","slug":"indian-supreme-court-rejected-plea-to-investigate-pahalgam-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/indian-supreme-court-rejected-plea-to-investigate-pahalgam-attack\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Supreme Court Rejected plea to investigate Pahalgam Attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW DELHI: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/indian-supreme-court-declares-iiojk-integral-part-of-country\/\">Indian judiciary<\/a> has become partisan of the Modi government as the Supreme Court on Thursday rejected Public Interest Litigation (PIL), asking for a probe into the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/pahalgam-terror-attack-bbc-report-uncovers-discrepancies-in-official-account\/\">Pahalgam attack<\/a>, criticizing the petitioner for acting irresponsibly during a time of national crisis.<\/p>\n<p>A bench led by Justice Surya Kant, with Justice N Kotiswar Singh, heard the PIL in the Indian Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>The plea was submitted by three Jammu and Kashmir residents, Mohammad Junaid, Fatesh Kumar Sahu, and Vicky Kumar, and also requested the establishment of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to ensure responsibility for the attack.<\/p>\n<p>It also urged the central government and the Union Territory administration to take steps to protect other visitors in the region.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Don\u2019t demoralise our forces by filing such petitions, You owe a responsibility to the country.
