{"id":72746,"date":"2025-05-02T12:02:49","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T07:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=72746"},"modified":"2025-05-02T12:02:49","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T07:02:49","slug":"overturned-bus-in-karachi-leaves-three-dead-several-injured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/overturned-bus-in-karachi-leaves-three-dead-several-injured\/","title":{"rendered":"Overturned bus in Karachi leaves three dead, several injured"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: In a tragic event, at least <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/karachi-restricts-entry-of-heavy-vehicles-during-day-amid-increasing-traffic-accidents\/\">three people<\/a> died and several others sustained injuries as a passenger bus in Karachi overturned on Friday, according to media reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Bus overturned on the link road of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/karachi-authorities-investigate-deep-well-with-suspected-gas-theft-link\/\">Gulshan-e-Hadeed<\/a> area, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including a woman.<\/p>\n<p>The rescue operation has started to pull the remaining passenger from under the bus.<\/p>\n<p>The rescue 1122 team arrived on the spot to provide medical treatment to the injured and shifted the dead bodies to the nearby hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, eight members\u00a0of a family died as a Suzuki car fell into a deep ravine in the Matta Banda area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s Lower\u00a0Kohistan\u00a0district on Thursday, according to police officials.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased were from Rawalpindi and returning from Gilgit-Baltistan when their car plunged deep down the mountainous area in Matta Banda, the police said.<\/p>\n<p>The family includes four children, their father, mother, and two female relatives. The adults identified as Asif Iqbal, Maimuna Iqbal, Ayesha Siddique and Bushra Iqbal.<\/p>\n<p>The bodies were rescued by the locals and the rescue team, 1122 staff, and were taken to the district hospital in Pattan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArrangements are being made to dispatch the bodies to Rawalpindi,\u201d said the rescue official.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: In a tragic event, at least three people died and several others sustained injuries as a passenger bus in Karachi overturned on Friday, according to media reports.
