{"id":72799,"date":"2025-05-02T19:55:29","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T14:55:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=72799"},"modified":"2025-05-02T21:01:00","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T16:01:00","slug":"admission-quota-increased-for-these-medical-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/admission-quota-increased-for-these-medical-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission quota increased for THESE medical students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a recent educational development, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/health\/kp-health-department-announces-for-new-hiring-for-doctors\/\">Federal Health Minister<\/a>, Mustafa Kamal, addressed the long-standing concerns of students from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n<p>The minister at a press conference held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/pmdc-announces-new-rules-for-medical-students\/\">Pakistan Medical and Dental Council<\/a> (PMDC) in Islamabad announced an increase in medical college quotas across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, he announced that 190 more seats had been authorized for students who were having trouble getting admitted.<\/p>\n<p>For students from KP and Balochistan, 333 seats have been added. Students can now apply for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/punjab-govt-made-thalassemia-test-mandatory-for-admissions-in-educational-institutes\/\">admission<\/a> in any province, Kamal said, thanking the PMDC team for their hard work.<\/p>\n<p>In order to accommodate more students in their regions, he advised medical institutes in KP and Balochistan to raise their local quotas and raise their standards.<\/p>\n<p>In order to address capacity issues, Kamal emphasized that seat expansions have also been implemented for medical programs like MBBS and BDS.<\/p>\n<p>The minister referred to the situation as unfair, pointing out that students from Karachi were previously relocated to Sukkur and Larkana because of a lack of places.<\/p>\n<p>PDMA issues a warning because Punjab is predicted to see thunderstorms and heavy rain.<\/p>\n<p>He declared, &#8220;Our society needs serious reform,&#8221; and promised to take swift action against any indication of corruption in the medical field.<\/p>\n<p>Kamal shifted his focus to national security and vehemently criticized Indian statements as being unfounded. We won&#8217;t be alarmed by India&#8217;s threats.
