{"id":72810,"date":"2025-05-02T22:12:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-02T17:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=72810"},"modified":"2025-05-02T22:12:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-02T17:12:09","slug":"pakistan-records-historic-drop-of-0-3-inflation-in-april-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/pakistan-records-historic-drop-of-0-3-inflation-in-april-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan records historic drop of 0.3% Inflation in April 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: According to figures released by the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/elections-2024-live-latest-updates-results\/\">Pakistan Bureau of Statistics<\/a> (PBS) on Friday, Pakistan&#8217;s annual inflation rate in April 2025 was a record low of 0.3 percent on an annual basis.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that Pakistan&#8217;s annual inflation rate reached its highest level in history in May 2023, reaching a record high of 37.97 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2025,<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/pakistans-weekly-inflation-rate-drops-by-0-35\/\"> CPI inflation<\/a> fell to 0.3 percent on an annual basis, down from 0.7 percent the month before and 17.3 percent in April 2024. On a month-over-month basis, it fell by 0.8 percent in April 2025 after rising by 0.9 percent the month before and falling by 0.4 percent in April 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Urban CPI inflation dropped to 0.5 percent year-over-year in April 2025 from 1.2 percent the month before and 19.4 percent in April 2024. On a month-over-month basis, it fell by 0.7 percent in April 2025 after rising by 0.8 percent the month before and falling by 0.1 percent in April 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2025, rural CPI inflation fell by 0.1 percent year over year, compared to 14.5 percent in April 2024 and no change in the preceding month.<\/p>\n<p>On a month-over-month basis, it fell by 1.0 percent in April 2025 after rising by 1.1 percent the month before and falling by 0.9 percent in April 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to a decline of 21.6 percent in April 2024 and 2.3 percent a month earlier, SPI inflation on a year-over-year basis fell by 3.2 percent in April 2025. In April 2025, it fell 1.7 percent on a month-over-month basis, compared to 0.1 percent the previous month and 0.7 percent in April 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In comparison to a fall of 1.6 percent a month earlier and a rise of 13.9 percent in April 2024, WPI inflation on a year-over-year basis fell by 2.2 percent in April 2025.
