The steps were taken following the recent Pahalgam attack in Indian occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernment of India has decided to suspend exchange of all categories of inbound mail and parcels from Pakistan through air and surface routes,\u201d a public notice issued by the Department of Posts read.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, New Delhi banned the direct and indirect import of goods originating from or transiting via Pakistan with immediate effect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"article-index-1\" class=\"storyParagraph\">\n<div id=\"article-index-8\" class=\"storyParagraph\">\n<p>A Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) prohibits &#8220;direct or indirect import or transit of all goods originating in or exported from Pakistan with immediate effect until further orders.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>It also banned Pakistani-flagged\u00a0ships from entering Indian ports\u00a0and prohibited Indian-flagged vessels from visiting ports in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<div id=\"article-index-1\" class=\"storyParagraph\"><\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"quizShow mb20\" data-vars-minimized=\"false\" data-vars-predictor=\"true\">Pakistan, on the other hand, has already announced the cancellation of trade ties and limiting diplomatic ties with India, after New Delhi blamed Pakistan for last week&#8217;s attack in Kashmir and took several measures.<\/p>\n<p data-vars-minimized=\"false\" data-vars-predictor=\"true\">However, Islamabad denied allegations and demanded a neutral investigation into the attack.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW DELHI: The Indian government has decided to suspend the exchange of all categories of mail and parcels coming from Pakistan through air and land routes.
