To <span class=\"diff-highlight\">avoid<\/span> a <span class=\"diff-highlight\">greater<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">tragedy<\/span>, the driver had moved the truck <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">a<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">more<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">isolated<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">area<\/span> from the bus and truck stand.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Unfortunately<\/span>, a crowd <span class=\"diff-highlight\">happened<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">gather<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">around<\/span> the vehicle when it exploded. <span class=\"diff-highlight\">The<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">explosion<\/span> injured <span class=\"diff-highlight\">more<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">than<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">40<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">people<\/span>, many of whom were <span class=\"diff-highlight\">seriously<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">burned<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Several victims were <span class=\"diff-highlight\">taken<\/span> to Karachi for <span class=\"diff-highlight\">medical<\/span> treatment due to a lack of <span class=\"diff-highlight\">specialized<\/span> medical <span class=\"diff-highlight\">care<\/span> in the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">area<\/span>. The <span class=\"diff-highlight\">explosion<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">reportedly<\/span> initially killed the driver and left <span class=\"diff-highlight\">more<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">than<\/span> 60 people injured, many of <span class=\"diff-highlight\">which<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">many<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">were<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">serious<\/span> burns.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Fire<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">intervention<\/span> was <span class=\"diff-highlight\">one<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">reported<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">action<\/span> the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">professional<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fire<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">team<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">did<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">as<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">they<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">arrived<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">extinguish<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fire<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">especially<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">since<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">there<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">was<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">&#8220;<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">welder<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">&#8220;<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">work<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">being<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">done<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">on<\/span> the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">damaged<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fuel<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">tank<\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NUSHKI: In a tragic incident, the number of fatalities from the Nushki oil tanker explosion increased to 20 on Tuesday, officials said.
