ISLAMABAD: Pakistan<\/span>‘<\/span>s<\/span> Deputy Prime Minister<\/a> Ishaq Dar,<\/span> along<\/span> with<\/span> Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, are holding<\/span> a key <\/span>press conference amid the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India.<\/p>\n

While<\/span> addressing<\/span> a<\/span> significant<\/span> press conference,<\/span> alongside<\/span> Director General Inter-Services Public Relations<\/a> (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the deputy prime minister stated<\/span> that Pakistan reserves the right to take<\/span> retaliatory<\/span> measures<\/span> under Article 51 of the UN Charter, which states<\/span> that<\/span> a country<\/span> has<\/span> the<\/span> right to self-defence<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf India dares to undertake any further misadventures, it will be<\/span> made<\/span> to<\/span> pay<\/span> severely<\/span>,\u201d he said<\/span>. In<\/span> his<\/span> address<\/span>, DG ISPR rejected<\/span> India\u2019s claims<\/span> based<\/span> on<\/span> the<\/span> fact<\/span> that Pakistan had<\/span> conducted<\/span> attacks on 15 Indian locations<\/span>, calling<\/span> the claims \u201ccompletely<\/span> false.<\/p>\n

“<\/span> He stated<\/span>:<\/span> \u201c<\/span>India is trying to create<\/span> some<\/span> documentary<\/span> evidence to justify its recent military action<\/span> against<\/span> Pakistan.\u201d<\/span> \u201cWith<\/span> regards<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> claims made<\/span> by<\/span> India<\/span>,<\/span> these<\/span> are completely<\/span> baseless.<\/p>\n

They<\/span> have<\/span> shown images<\/span> of<\/span> so<\/span>–<\/span>called<\/span> projectiles attributed<\/span> to<\/span> Pakistan,<\/span> but<\/span> they<\/span> are ludicrous<\/span>. A projectile of that nature would have<\/span> burned<\/span> dry grass, which<\/span> the images<\/span> did<\/span> not<\/span> show<\/span>.“<\/span><\/p>\n

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said:<\/span> “<\/span>India has claimed that Pakistan launched<\/span> 15 projectiles against<\/span> them<\/span> and<\/span> that<\/span> all these<\/span> projectiles<\/span> were intercepted<\/span> by Indian air defences<\/span>.\u201d<\/span> The<\/span> DG ISPR added<\/span> that<\/span> these claims<\/span> were<\/span> funny<\/span>,<\/span> as<\/span> India failed<\/span> to protect the<\/span> aircraft<\/span> in<\/span> its airspace<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf India says<\/span> it neutralized 15 missiles<\/span>, why couldn\u2019t it save its own five jets from getting<\/span> shot down by the PAF<\/span> (<\/span>Pakistan Air Force)<\/span>?\u201d he asked, about\u00a0five Indian jets<\/span> being<\/span> downed<\/span>:<\/span> three Rafale fighters, one MiG-29, and one SU-30 by the PAF<\/span>.<\/p>\n

He<\/span> warned that Pakistan will<\/span> respond<\/span> and<\/span> when it will<\/span> respond<\/span> at<\/span> a time and place of its choosing<\/span>, there<\/span> will be no<\/span> ambiguity<\/span>. “<\/span>When Pakistan strikes, the Indian media doesn<\/span>‘<\/span>t need to spin the story<\/span>\u2014<\/span>it<\/span> will be<\/span> a<\/span> global<\/span> story<\/span>,<\/span>“<\/span> he<\/span> promised<\/span>.<\/p>\n
