{"id":73737,"date":"2025-05-09T17:33:42","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T12:33:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=73737"},"modified":"2025-05-09T17:33:42","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T12:33:42","slug":"pakistan-denies-claims-of-fbr-website-hacked-by-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-denies-claims-of-fbr-website-hacked-by-india\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan denies claims of FBR website hacked by India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The official sources in Pakistan have <span class=\"diff-highlight\">denied<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">reports<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">put<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">out<\/span> by an Indian <span class=\"diff-highlight\">organisation<\/span> that <span class=\"diff-highlight\">they<\/span> hacked the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/fbr-sealed-outlets-of-fashion-brand-in-karachi-over-tax-evasion\/\">Federal Board of Revenue<\/a> (FBR) data.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">An<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Indian<\/span> group claimed online that they had hacked the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Federal<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Board<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Revenue&#8217;s<\/span> IRIS portal and\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">stolen<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">more<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">than<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">150GB<\/span> of data. They <span class=\"diff-highlight\">claimed<\/span> to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">have<\/span> sensitive information, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">including<\/span> national ID numbers (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/nadra-halts-cnic-services-at-post-offices-nationwide-heres-why\/\">CNICs<\/a>), full <span class=\"diff-highlight\">name<\/span>, phone numbers, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">address<\/span>, and tax records.<span class=\"diff-highlight\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Official sources told ProPakistani that <span class=\"diff-highlight\">there<\/span> has been <span class=\"diff-highlight\">no<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">hacking<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">FBR<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">\u2019<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">s<\/span> website, and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">it<\/span> is <span class=\"diff-highlight\">functioning<\/span> and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">operating<\/span> normally.<span class=\"diff-highlight\">\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">According<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">official<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">sources,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> FBR<span class=\"diff-highlight\">&#8216;<\/span>s digital infrastructure remains secure and operational<span class=\"diff-highlight\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">They<\/span> said <span class=\"diff-highlight\">that<\/span> the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">claims<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">hacking<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">were<\/span> fake and are part of <span class=\"diff-highlight\">an<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">ongoing<\/span> misinformation campaign.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note here that since the tensions between Pakistan and India have started, India has been spreading false news trying to damage the reputation of Pakistan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The official sources in Pakistan have denied reports put out by an Indian organisation that they hacked the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) data. \u00a0 An Indian group claimed online that they had hacked the Federal Board of Revenue&#8217;s IRIS portal and\u00a0stolen more than 150GB of data.
