ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia\u2019s Minister<\/a> of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al Jubeir arrived<\/span> in<\/span> Islamabad amidst<\/span> rising<\/span> tensions between Pakistan and India, with<\/span> India<\/span>‘<\/span>s misadventure martyring several\u00a0innocent children.<\/p>\n

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar<\/a> welcomed the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs at Pakistan‘<\/span>s Foreign Office. Adel Al Jubeir has been<\/span> to<\/span> India before coming to Pakistan and<\/span> will hold high-level meetings with the<\/span> Pakistani officials.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya.<\/span> They<\/span> discussed the ongoing<\/span> escalation<\/span> of<\/span> tension<\/span> and<\/span> discussions<\/span> around<\/span> the<\/span> region<\/span>.<\/p>\n

According to the<\/span> Foreign Office, the<\/span> deputy prime minister briefed his Japanese counterpart on India‘<\/span>s recent misadventures and<\/span> how<\/span> the<\/span> recent<\/span> incidents<\/span> have<\/span> led<\/span> to<\/span> the martyrdom<\/span> of innocent Pakistani civilians, including women and children.<\/p>\n

Ishaq Dar explained<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> Japanese<\/span> foreign<\/span> minister<\/span> that,<\/span> regardless<\/span> of<\/span> India‘<\/span>s illegal<\/span> actions<\/span><\/a> committed<\/span> against<\/span> international laws<\/span>, Pakistan has exercised<\/span> restraint.<\/p>\n

He also<\/span> reinforced<\/span> that the government has<\/span> very<\/span> clearly<\/span> communicated<\/span> that<\/span> it<\/span> will<\/span> protect<\/span> its regional security and independence<\/span>. He<\/span> also<\/span> communicated<\/span> that<\/span> Pakistan will<\/span> always<\/span> take<\/span> action<\/span> to<\/span> defend<\/span> its<\/span> people<\/span> and<\/span> territorial<\/span> integrity<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The foreign minister of<\/span> Japan<\/span> expressed serious<\/span> worry<\/span> about<\/span> the grossly<\/span> elevated<\/span> situation in the area<\/span> and expressed<\/span> regret<\/span> for the civilian deaths<\/span>,<\/span> and<\/span> called<\/span> on<\/span> both Pakistan and India to practice<\/span> restraint and to<\/span> move<\/span> to<\/span> discussions<\/span> and diplomacy to\u00a0de-escalate the<\/span> situation<\/span> and achieve<\/span> a peaceful settlement<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Minister of<\/span> Defence<\/span> Khawaja Asif has said Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable<\/span> of<\/span> dealing<\/span> with the situation developing<\/span> from<\/span> the Indian aggression. Speaking in the National Assembly today, he said our forces were<\/span> doing<\/span> a<\/span> good<\/span> job<\/span> of<\/span> fighting the enemy forces on the line<\/span> of control<\/span> and the working boundary.<\/p>\n

He said India‘<\/span>s plans<\/span> were being<\/span> foiled<\/span> successfully and\u00a0had demoralized the<\/span> Indian<\/span> people, governments<\/span>,<\/span> and media<\/span>. Minister of<\/span> Defence<\/span> Khawaja Asif said the morale of our people, the<\/span> armed forces, the<\/span> political parties,<\/span> and other facets<\/span> of society is high.<\/p>\n

Referring<\/span> to<\/span> the shooting down of five Indian fighter jets and<\/span> other<\/span> drones, Khawaja Asif said we are proud of our armed forces,<\/span> and the whole<\/span> nation is<\/span> standing<\/span> shoulder to shoulder with them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
