{"id":74073,"date":"2025-05-12T14:39:00","date_gmt":"2025-05-12T09:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=74073"},"modified":"2025-05-12T14:39:00","modified_gmt":"2025-05-12T09:39:00","slug":"govt-likely-to-increase-salaries-pensions-in-budget-for-fiscal-year-2025-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/govt-likely-to-increase-salaries-pensions-in-budget-for-fiscal-year-2025-26\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt likely to increase salaries, pensions in budget 2025-26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: As the federal government is expected to unveil the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/imf-pushes-for-pension-tax-ahead-of-budget-negotiations\/\">budget<\/a> for the next fiscal year 2025-26 in early June, public-sector employees will likely get a significant increase in their salaries and pensions.<\/p>\n<p>As per the details, the government has been considering various proposals for the upcoming budget, including an increase in salaries for government employees.<\/p>\n<p>Reports suggested that the government would announce the 25% increase in salaries for employees from Grade 1 to 16 and 20% from Grade 17-22.<\/p>\n<p>However, there is no official statement in this regard as the final decision will be rolled out on the budget day.<\/p>\n<p>The federal government is set to present the Budget 2025-26 on June 2, with Rs921 billion allocated for development projects, far short of the Rs1,600 billion minimum deemed necessary by the Ministry of Planning.<\/p>\n<p>The budget envisaged 25 percent increase in the salaries of government employees from Grade-1 to 16 and a 20% increase from Grade-17 to 22.
