{"id":74351,"date":"2025-05-14T14:59:33","date_gmt":"2025-05-14T09:59:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=74351"},"modified":"2025-05-14T15:57:53","modified_gmt":"2025-05-14T10:57:53","slug":"punjab-govt-announces-over-2000-jobs-in-health-department","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/health\/punjab-govt-announces-over-2000-jobs-in-health-department\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab govt announces around 20,000 jobs in health department"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Punjab government is <span class=\"diff-highlight\">gearing<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">up<\/span> for a <span class=\"diff-highlight\">massive<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">launch<\/span> of the Maryam Nawaz Community Health Services Program, with <span class=\"diff-highlight\">almost<\/span> 20,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/health\/health-advisory-issued-on-congo-virus-by-nih\/\">Community Health Inspectors<\/a> (CHIs) to be <span class=\"diff-highlight\">recruited<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">in<\/span> the province to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">boost<\/span> public health services <span class=\"diff-highlight\">at<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">grassroots<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">level<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report, the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">deadline<\/span> for private <span class=\"diff-highlight\">companies<\/span> to submit <span class=\"diff-highlight\">bids<\/span> for the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-police-announces-recruitment-schedule-of-written-examination\/\"> recruitment <span class=\"diff-highlight\">project<\/span> <\/a>closed on Tuesday, marking <span class=\"diff-highlight\">an<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">important<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">step<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">forward<\/span> in the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">deployment<\/span> of <span class=\"diff-highlight\">this<\/span> ambitious health <span class=\"diff-highlight\">program<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">process<\/span>, 19,543 CHIs will be hired on daily wage contracts through the private sector, with the recruitment process being fully outsourced. Official sources <span class=\"diff-highlight\">indicate<\/span> that <span class=\"diff-highlight\">there<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">is<\/span> over Rs. 16.5 billion <span class=\"diff-highlight\">allocated<\/span> for the hiring <span class=\"diff-highlight\">process<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The private <span class=\"diff-highlight\">company<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">once<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">selected<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> will <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">paid<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">by<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> government <span class=\"diff-highlight\">directly<\/span> and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">will<\/span> be responsible <span class=\"diff-highlight\">for<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">not<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">just<\/span> hiring but also\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">reporting<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">and<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">dismissing<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">CHIs<\/span>, if <span class=\"diff-highlight\">needed<\/span>, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">within<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">length<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> the contract.<\/p>\n<p>In Lahore alone, the program will <span class=\"diff-highlight\">hire<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">3783<\/span> inspectors, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">with<\/span> a budget of Rs. 3.5 billion, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">which<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">gives<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Lahore<\/span> the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">largest<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">share<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">program<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">&#8216;<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">s<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">budget<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">.<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">The<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">CHIs<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">will<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">replacing<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">a<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">void<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> vacant Lady Health Worker positions.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">They<\/span> will <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">responsible<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">for<\/span> health, data collection, and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">support<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">for<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">improved<\/span> outreach <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">community<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">in<\/span> urban and rural Punjab.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Punjab government is gearing up for a massive launch of the Maryam Nawaz Community Health Services Program, with almost 20,000 Community Health Inspectors (CHIs) to be recruited in the province to boost public health services at the grassroots level.
