ISLAMABAD: Upon the completion of the first phase of the Hajj<\/a> flight operation, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf received 305 pilgrims under the government-sponsored scheme started on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Director General Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro, Chief Coordinator Hajj Operations Dr. Mirza Ali Mehsud, Director Makkah Azizullah Khan, Consul General Khalid Majeed, and Saudi officials were also present on the occasion.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the commencement<\/span> of the second phase of Hajj flights from<\/span> Pakistan<\/span>, with the<\/span> first<\/span> group<\/span> of<\/span> Pakistani Hajj<\/span> pilgrims<\/span> departing for Jeddah via<\/span> various airports in<\/span> Pakistan<\/span>.<\/p>\n

From today, the<\/span> pilgrims will land at Jeddah Airport,<\/span> then travel<\/span> directly to Makkah,<\/span> Saudi<\/span> Arabia<\/span>,<\/span> for<\/span> Hajj. On the first day of the<\/span> second<\/span> phase, flight<\/span> operations<\/span> will<\/span> have<\/span> 2<\/span> flights with<\/span> 633 Pakistani pilgrims travelling<\/span> to<\/span> Jeddah.<\/p>\n

The second phase will<\/span> continue<\/span> from<\/span> the conclusion<\/span> of<\/span> phase one<\/span> of the<\/span> Hajj departures. On the last<\/span> day of the<\/span> first<\/span> phase<\/span>, 13 flights operated<\/span> with<\/span> 2,399 pilgrims departing<\/span> to Madinah.<\/p>\n

In total, 145 flights overall<\/span> were operated during the first phase of<\/span> the<\/span> Hajj<\/span> departures,<\/span> and<\/span> a<\/span> total<\/span> of<\/span> 31,044 Pakistani pilgrims were<\/span> flown<\/span> to<\/span> Madinah<\/span>,<\/span> Saudi<\/span> Arabia<\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
