QUETTA: The Balochistan<\/a> Education Department has announced the schedule of summer vacations for all government and private schools in the province, according to a notification.<\/p>\n

Schools<\/a> in areas falling under the summer zone will be closed from May 17, 2025, and the vacations will end on July 31, 2025.<\/p>\n

This decision will be applicable to all relevant educational institutions including the Balochistan Education Foundation and instructions have been given to ensure full implementation of this decision.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Punjab School Education Department was considering announcing early\u00a0summer\u00a0holidays<\/span>\u00a0in<\/span>\u00a0light<\/span>\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0extreme<\/span>\u00a0heat<\/span>\u00a0that<\/span>\u00a0is<\/span>\u00a0affecting<\/span>\u00a0the province.<\/p>\n

Originally<\/span>, the department announced\u00a0summer<\/span>\u00a0holidays<\/span>\u00a0to<\/span>\u00a0be<\/span>\u00a0from June 1 to August 9.\u00a0Given<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0current<\/span>\u00a0extreme<\/span>\u00a0heat<\/span>, schools may\u00a0be<\/span>\u00a0closed<\/span>\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0a week earlier than\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0dates<\/span>\u00a0proposed<\/span>\u00a0in<\/span>\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0original<\/span>\u00a0announcement<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Officials\u00a0indicated<\/span>\u00a0that\u00a0current<\/span>\u00a0dates\u00a0are<\/span>\u00a0being<\/span>\u00a0talked<\/span>\u00a0about,<\/span>\u00a0but<\/span> no official notification\u00a0will<\/span>\u00a0be<\/span>\u00a0issued,\u00a0effective<\/span>\u00a0summer\u00a0holidays<\/span>\u00a0in Punjab schools.<\/p>\n

Schools<\/span>\u00a0are\u00a0currently<\/span>\u00a0in<\/span>\u00a0a\u00a0modified<\/span>\u00a0summer schedule,\u00a0which<\/span>\u00a0means<\/span>\u00a0single<\/span>-shift schools\u00a0will<\/span>\u00a0open<\/span>\u00a0at<\/span>\u00a07:30 am\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0close<\/span>\u00a0at<\/span>\u00a01:00 pm Monday\u00a0through<\/span>\u00a0Thursday, and\u00a0then<\/span>\u00a0close<\/span>\u00a0at<\/span>\u00a011:30 am on\u00a0Friday<\/span>.<\/p>\n
