{"id":74889,"date":"2025-05-19T19:51:16","date_gmt":"2025-05-19T14:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=74889"},"modified":"2025-05-19T19:51:16","modified_gmt":"2025-05-19T14:51:16","slug":"ballon-dor-to-be-awarded-on-september-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/ballon-dor-to-be-awarded-on-september-22\/","title":{"rendered":"Ballon D&#8217;Or to be awarded on September 22"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PARIS: The<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/fifa-suspends-pakistan-football-federation-over-unfair-electoral-process\/\"> Ballon d\u2019Or award<\/a> ceremony will take place on September 22 this year and the number of awards for women and men will be equal for the first time, organisers said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Awards for best women\u2019s goalkeeper, best young women\u2019s player, and the top women\u2019s scorer in a club or national team have been added to the list this year for the ceremony at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France Football magazine, and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/mason-mount-moves-from-chelsea-to-manchester-united-for-70-million\/\">UEFA<\/a> said.<\/p>\n<p>That means there will be six awards for male players and six for female players, with an additional prize, the Socrates Award, for actions that promote solidarity, which is open to men or women.<\/p>\n<p>The nominees will be announced in early August.<\/p>\n<p>Last year\u2019s awards ceremony was overshadowed by a boycott by Real Madrid after they learned that their Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior had not won the best men\u2019s player award, which went to Rodri of Manchester City.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PARIS: The Ballon d\u2019Or award ceremony will take place on September 22 this year and the number of awards for women and men will be equal for the first time, organisers said on Monday.
