The registration<\/span> of<\/span> vehicles<\/span> in<\/span> the<\/span> province<\/span> is<\/span> the responsibility<\/span> of the<\/span> Punjab<\/span> Excise<\/span> Department<\/span><\/a>. This registration<\/span> of<\/span> motor<\/span> vehicles<\/span> provides<\/span> documentation<\/span> and<\/span> proper<\/span> identification<\/span> of<\/span> all motor vehicles used<\/span> in<\/span> the<\/span> province<\/span>.<\/div>\n

Any<\/span> vehicle<\/span> owner<\/span> will<\/span> need<\/span> to<\/span> provide the<\/span> department<\/span> with<\/span> documents needed<\/span>,<\/span> such as proof of ownership, CNIC, and sales invoice. The<\/span> department will<\/span> then<\/span> issue<\/span> a registration number and certificate, which<\/span> can<\/span> be referenced\u00a0when<\/span> registering<\/span> to<\/span> track<\/span> vehicles used<\/span>, to<\/span> provide<\/span> road safety and theft prevention<\/span>.<\/div>\n

The<\/span> registration<\/span> process<\/span> is<\/span> also important<\/span> for<\/span> tax collection and compliance with traffic laws. These<\/span> fees<\/span> were<\/span> from<\/span> the<\/span> old<\/span> fee structure that<\/span> was<\/span> in place since the<\/span> previous budget for fiscal year 2024-25, when the registration fees<\/span> had<\/span> increased.<\/div>\n
