LAHORE: In a ground breaking move, the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz<\/a> has launched free insulin program to facilitate people suffering from Dibatese and other related diseases.<\/p>\n

A day earlier, the chief minister went<\/span> herself<\/span> and<\/span> distributed<\/span> \u2018<\/span>CM<\/span> Insulin<\/span> Cards<\/span>\u2019<\/span> at<\/span> the homes of young patients across<\/span> different<\/span> localities<\/span> of Lahore along with delivery riders.<\/p>\n

She went<\/span> to<\/span> Q-Block Sabzazar with a rider to provide<\/span> insulin cards to young patients<\/span>. Young patients,<\/span> Wasay Adnan, Zainab Waheed, and Zain Shahzad<\/span>,<\/span> were given insulin cards, glucometers, BSR strips, and needle boxes.<\/p>\n

The chief minister embraced<\/span> Wasay Adnan\u2019s grandmother and asked<\/span> how<\/span> the family was<\/span> doing<\/span>. Maryam Nawaz also promised to send a car for Wasay Adnan.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that she understands the pain faced<\/span> by<\/span> children suffering from diabetes and<\/span> that the government will reach out to those children who cannot afford medicine or insulin.<\/p>\n

1,500 children will be provided with insulin at their doorstep<\/span> in the first phase of<\/span> the<\/span> Free<\/span> Insulin<\/span> Programme<\/span>. It is recalled that the chief minister had announced the programme<\/span> in December 2024.<\/p>\n

How to Apply for the CM Punjab Free Insulin Program<\/a><\/h2>\n

According to the Primary and Secondary Health Department, people suffering from diabetes can apply for the Punjab Free Insulin Program in three ways<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 The first one is that the affected person can call the 1033 helpline and register for the program by providing the required details<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 Secondly, they can download HISDU Mobile Apps (https:\/\/hisduapps.pshealthpunjab.gov.pk\/) and register for the free insulin program<\/p>\n

3 \u2013Or lastly, visit the nearby NCD clinic and provide the required details to register with the insulin program<\/p>\n
