{"id":75746,"date":"2025-05-27T16:12:44","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T11:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=75746"},"modified":"2025-05-27T16:12:44","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T11:12:44","slug":"dumper-brutally-crushes-mother-daughter-in-sheikhupura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/dumper-brutally-crushes-mother-daughter-in-sheikhupura\/","title":{"rendered":"Dumper brutally crushes mother, daughter in Sheikhupura"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: In another <span class=\"diff-highlight\">tragic<\/span> incident, a dumper <span class=\"diff-highlight\">truck<\/span> crushed a mother-daughter duo to death on the Lahore-Sheikhupura road,\u00a0citing sources. <span class=\"diff-highlight\">As<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">per<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> rescue sources, the incident <span class=\"diff-highlight\">took<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">place<\/span> in Sheikhupura where a speeding dumper <span class=\"diff-highlight\">truck<\/span> hit a motorcycle, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">killing<\/span> mother mother-daughter duo and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">injuring<\/span> her son.<\/p>\n<p>The rescue sources <span class=\"diff-highlight\">also<\/span> said that the injured have been shifted to the nearby hospital. <span class=\"diff-highlight\">In<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">another<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">incident<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">earlier<\/span>, a dumper <span class=\"diff-highlight\">truck<\/span> claimed <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> life of a wheelchair bound man at Steel Mill Morh in Karachi.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Traffic<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/police-personnel-shot-dead-while-guarding-polio-team-in-noshki\/\">Senior Superintendent of Police<\/a> (SSP) Shoukat Ali Khatian <span class=\"diff-highlight\">said<\/span> that the handicapped <span class=\"diff-highlight\">individual<\/span> was struck by a dumper while <span class=\"diff-highlight\">crossing<\/span> the road.<\/p>\n<p>The driver <span class=\"diff-highlight\">tried<\/span> to flee <span class=\"diff-highlight\">from<\/span> the scene but was <span class=\"diff-highlight\">mobbed<\/span> by <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> citizens <span class=\"diff-highlight\">while<\/span> traffic officials blocked the dumper with vehicles<span class=\"diff-highlight\">.<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">SSP<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Khatian<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">said<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">that<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">irate<\/span> citizens <span class=\"diff-highlight\">broke<\/span> the dumper <span class=\"diff-highlight\">truck<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">&#8216;<\/span>s windows and attacked the driver, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">and<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">he<\/span> was subsequently taken into\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">custody<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Innocent<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fatality<\/span> adds to Karachi<span class=\"diff-highlight\">&#8216;<\/span>s <span class=\"diff-highlight\">tragic<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">tally<\/span> of <span class=\"diff-highlight\">deaths<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">due<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> traffic accidents, with nearly 500 deaths reported in 2024 due to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">colliding<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">with<\/span> heavy vehicles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: In another tragic incident, a dumper truck crushed a mother-daughter duo to death on the Lahore-Sheikhupura road,\u00a0citing sources.
