LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)<\/a>\u00a0 has announced the name of fast bowler Mohammad Abbas Afridi to replace Mohammad Wasim Jnr in Pakistan’s T20I squad for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

“Fast bowler Mohammad Abbas Afridi<\/a> has replaced Mohammad Wasim Jr in Pakistan’s T20I squad for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Wasim Jnr picked up a side strain during the HBL PSL and was not able to recover in time”, PCB said in a press release.<\/p>\n

“Abbas has represented Pakistan in 20 T20Is, having snapped 33 wickets. He was also the joint-second leading wicket-taker in the HBL PSL X with 17 scalps”, the statement reads.<\/p>\n

Earlier, according to media reports, Pakistan\u2019s star all-rounder\u00a0Mohammad Wasim Jr\u00a0could miss the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh due to an injury, according to media reports.<\/p>\n

Wasim sustained the injury in the\u00a0Pakistan Super League X\u00a0match and has not recovered since then. The medical staff has advised him to rest for some time.<\/p>\n
