ISLAMABAD: Temperatures are set to drop in Islamabad and Rawalpindi with expected isolated light to heavy rain<\/a>, potentially bringing relief for residents amid rising temperatures.<\/p>\n

Rainfall<\/span> will give<\/span> much-anticipated\u00a0relief to locals<\/span> across<\/span> Pakistan<\/span> with<\/span> preferred<\/span> temperatures<\/span> to combat<\/span> the current<\/span> heatwaves<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department<\/a> (PMD) reports<\/span> that<\/span> moderate to strong moist currents should<\/span> be<\/span> able<\/span> to penetrate the upper parts of Pakistan tonight,<\/span> and continue<\/span> to<\/span> penetrate the<\/span> mid<\/span> part<\/span> of<\/span> Pakistan<\/span> from Saturday<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A fresh westerly wave is<\/span> expected<\/span> to<\/span> affect the upper and central parts of the country starting<\/span> on<\/span> Saturday<\/span>.<\/span> Therefore<\/span>, under<\/span> the<\/span> likely<\/span> generous<\/span> conditions<\/span>,<\/span> residents<\/span> in the twin cities (<\/span>Islamabad<\/span>, Rawalpindi<\/span>)<\/span> and<\/span> Potohar region, northeast region<\/span> of<\/span> Punjab, and<\/span> in<\/span> Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are<\/span> expected<\/span> to<\/span> have<\/span>\u00a0rains<\/span> and<\/span> gusty<\/span> winds<\/span> with<\/span> isolated<\/span> hailstorms<\/span> on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Then<\/span> from<\/span> Saturday and Sunday, rainfall<\/span> with<\/span> gusty winds and<\/span> isolated heavy rain<\/span> and hailstorms are likely for<\/span> the twin cities<\/span> and<\/span> in<\/span> Kashmir and<\/span> Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and north<\/span> east<\/span> Balochistan.<\/p>\n

The<\/span> expected<\/span> maximum temperature in<\/span> Islamabad<\/span> is<\/span> between 34 degrees<\/span> Celsius<\/span> and 36 degrees<\/span> Celsius<\/span> on Saturday and is likely<\/span> to\u00a0remain<\/span> between 35 degrees<\/span> to<\/span> 37 degrees<\/span> Celsius on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The<\/span> expected<\/span> maximum temperature in<\/span> Rawalpindi<\/span> is<\/span> between 35 degrees<\/span> Celsius<\/span> and 37 degrees<\/span> Celsius<\/span> on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n
