The <span class=\"diff-highlight\">increases<\/span> have <span class=\"diff-highlight\">taken<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">effect<\/span> from today (June 1), CDA said <span class=\"diff-highlight\">on<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">June<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">1<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">CDA<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">said<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fares<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">for<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> Orange, Green, and Blue Line <span class=\"diff-highlight\">buses,<\/span> as well as electric <span class=\"diff-highlight\">buses,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> fixed at Rs100. <span class=\"diff-highlight\">The<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">announcement<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">follows<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">a<\/span> week after CDA<span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">said<\/span> the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/islamabad-metro-bus-fares-receive-significant-surge-check-new-fares-inside\/\">metro <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fare<\/span> <\/a>and electric bus <span class=\"diff-highlight\">service<\/span> in the federal capital\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">will<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">not<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">increased<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">in<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">January<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">a<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">report<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">said<\/span> CDA <span class=\"diff-highlight\">will<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">double<\/span> the one-way trip <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fare<\/span> from Rs50 to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Rs100<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">on<\/span> all these bus services, which <span class=\"diff-highlight\">were<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">proposed<\/span> to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">come<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">into<\/span> effect <span class=\"diff-highlight\">on<\/span> May 26. However, last Saturday (May 24), a CDA <span class=\"diff-highlight\">spokesman<\/span> said <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fare<\/span> for Orange, Blue, Green, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">as<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">well<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">as<\/span> the electric <span class=\"diff-highlight\">feeder<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">route<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fare<\/span>, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">would<\/span> remain unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>The new fares <span class=\"diff-highlight\">will<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">also<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">applied<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> all <span class=\"diff-highlight\">available<\/span> metro lines, including Orange, Green, and Blue, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">and<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">17<\/span> electric feeder <span class=\"diff-highlight\">bus<\/span> routes <span class=\"diff-highlight\">operating<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">through<\/span> the capital.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Interestingly<\/span>, the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">fare<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">from<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Orange<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">line<\/span> from N-5 to the Airport <span class=\"diff-highlight\">had<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">been<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">previously<\/span> reported to have increased to Rs100 <span class=\"diff-highlight\">from<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Rs90,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">while<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> CDA feeder buses <span class=\"diff-highlight\">for<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">each<\/span> stop-to-stop\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">fare<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">are<\/span> fixed at Rs100.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced a fare increase for Metro and electric buses.
