KARACHI: In a tragic turn of<\/span>\u00a0events<\/span>, a 10-year-old girl<\/a> <\/span>was <\/span>kidnapped<\/span> on<\/span> board <\/span>a train <\/span>ride<\/span> from Faisalabad to Karachi, after her family was <\/span>incapacitated with drugs.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>They<\/span> were<\/span> on<\/span> their<\/span> way<\/span> to Karachi from Faisalabad, <\/span>where<\/span> they were drugged<\/a> with lassi by <\/span>other<\/span> passengers <\/span>along the way <\/span>near Sukkur<\/span>, according to kidnapped girl Inaya’s mother<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inaya<\/span>‘<\/span>s mother, Shagufta Bibi, <\/span>said<\/span> she was <\/span>accompanied<\/span> by<\/span> three of <\/span>her <\/span>children on the Shalimar Express when <\/span>strangers<\/span> offered them lassi.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Soon<\/span> after <\/span>consuming<\/span> it, she and her <\/span>older<\/span> daughter became unconscious<\/span>. <\/span>After<\/span> regaining consciousness <\/span>close<\/span> to <\/span>Landhi Station, she <\/span>found<\/span> Inaya missing <\/span>and<\/span> the suspects who had <\/span>occupied<\/span> the compartment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>occurrence<\/span> took<\/span> place <\/span>on May 28, and a <\/span>proper<\/span> FIR has been <\/span>lodged<\/span> at the Karachi Cantt Railway Station police.<\/p>\n

<\/span>But<\/span> even <\/span>four days <\/span>after that<\/span>, the child <\/span>is<\/span> still <\/span>missing, and the family <\/span>says<\/span> there<\/span> hasn’t<\/span> been<\/span> much <\/span>progress <\/span>by the police <\/span>as<\/span> of yet<\/span>.
