{"id":76553,"date":"2025-06-04T14:43:11","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T09:43:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=76553"},"modified":"2025-06-04T14:43:11","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T09:43:11","slug":"million-plus-pilgrims-arrive-at-mina-as-annual-hajj-rituals-begin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/featured\/million-plus-pilgrims-arrive-at-mina-as-annual-hajj-rituals-begin\/","title":{"rendered":"Millions of pilgrims arrive at Mina as annual Hajj rituals begin"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"col-lg-8\">\n<div class=\"newsdetailcontent\">\n<p>ISLAMABAD: Annual Hajj rituals kicked off today in the holy city of Makkah as more than a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/saudi-arabia-warns-of-severe-heatwave-during-hajj-2025\/\">million pilgrims<\/a>, including Pakistanis, have started arriving at Mina on Makkah\u2019s outskirts.<\/p>\n<p>With temperatures expected to top 40 degrees Celsius, robed pilgrims slowly circled the Kaaba &#8212; the black cube at the heart of Makkah\u2019s Grand Mosque, which is Islam\u2019s holiest site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Pilgrims will remain at Mina until Fajr next morning, the 9th Dhul Hijjah, before Hajj\u2019s high-point, prayers on Mount Arafat to perform &#8220;Waqoof-e-Arafa&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>As per details, over 88,000 Pakistanis have traveled to Saudi Arabia under the government\u2019s Hajj scheme, and over 23,620 Pakistanis are performing Hajj through private tour operators.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan\u2019s Hajj Mission has completed all arrangements for the transportation of pilgrims to the world\u2019s largest tent valley at Mina, the state-run <em>Radio Pakistan<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Pakistani pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme will reach Mina via 932 buses before Zuhr prayer tomorrow, it said.<\/p>\n<p>The mission earlier advised Pakistani pilgrims to follow the directives issued by Saudi Arabia concerning the stoning of the devil or \u201cRami Al-Jamarat\u2019 and animal sacrifice rituals during the annual Islamic pilgrimage.<\/p>\n<p>Each \u2018Maktab\u2019 will have designated timings for the act of stoning the devil on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, Radio Pakistan reported.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Saudi authorities have ratcheted up heat protection measures such as extra shade to avoid a repeat of last year, when 1,301 people died as temperatures hit 51.8C (125.2F).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Annual Hajj rituals kicked off today in the holy city of Makkah as more than a million pilgrims, including Pakistanis, have started arriving at Mina on Makkah\u2019s outskirts.
