LAHORE: In a recent development, the Punjab government has <\/span>waived<\/span> the<\/span> necessary Emission testing certification<\/a><\/span> for some vehicles<\/span>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>According to a statement released by the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department, <\/span>Relief has been <\/span>given<\/span> on the <\/span>directions<\/span> of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.<\/span><\/p>\n

“<\/span>Three<\/span>-year-old<\/span> vehicles<\/span> are exempted from Emission Testing<\/span>,”<\/span> the statement<\/span> read<\/span>. It <\/span>implies<\/span> that <\/span>if you <\/span>purchase<\/span> a new <\/span>car<\/span> or <\/span>year year-old car, you <\/span>won’t<\/span> need to <\/span>provide<\/span> the emission testing certification.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Individuals<\/span> can use<\/span> the <\/span>services <\/span>between<\/span> 9 am\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span> 5 pm at the <\/span>specified<\/span> booths <\/span>throughout<\/span> Lahore.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe Environment Protection Agency (EPA) has <\/span>raised<\/span> the number of emission testing booths in Lahore <\/span>to 60 <\/span>from eight <\/span>previously<\/span>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>The<\/span> booths are <\/span>situated<\/span> in<\/span> strategic<\/span> locations<\/span> throughout<\/span> the city to make <\/span>it<\/span> easier<\/span> to<\/span> test <\/span>and <\/span>minimize<\/span> wait times.<\/span><\/p>\n
