{"id":77269,"date":"2025-06-13T15:37:16","date_gmt":"2025-06-13T10:37:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=77269"},"modified":"2025-06-13T15:37:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T10:37:16","slug":"sindh-cabinet-approves-increase-in-salary-pension-for-govt-employees-in-budget-2025-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sindh-cabinet-approves-increase-in-salary-pension-for-govt-employees-in-budget-2025-26\/","title":{"rendered":"Sindh cabinet approves increase in salary, pension for govt employees in budget 2025-26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet approved the budget proposal for an increase in salaries for government employees across various pay scales for the next <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/kpk-govt-likely-to-increase-salaries-by-10-percent-in-budget\/\">fiscal year 2025-26<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, the Sindh cabinet, during its pre-budget meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, approved the budget 2026-25 with the outlay of Rs 3451.87 billion for the next fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>The government spokesperson said that CM Murad Ali Shah will present the budget for the next financial year in the provincial assembly today at 3 pm.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, the cabinet has approved a 12 per cent salary increase for employees in grades 1 to 16, and a 10 per cent hike for employees in grades 17 to 22.<\/p>\n<p>A seven per cent rise in pension for retired government employees in the budget was also sanctioned.<\/p>\n<p>In the budget, the allocation for development schemes is proposed to rise from Rs493 billion to Rs520 billion, and Rs55 billion may be allocated for district-level development projects.<\/p>\n<p>The budget anticipates Rs366 billion in foreign funding and Rs76 billion from the federal Annual Development Programme (ADP).<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet has also approved an increase in the education budget by 12% for the next fiscal year 2025-26, rising from Rs458 billion to Rs523 billion.<\/p>\n<div class=\"boxes-row 3\">\n<div class=\"story-comments-section\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet approved the budget proposal for an increase in salaries for government employees across various pay scales for the next fiscal year 2025-26.
