{"id":77274,"date":"2025-06-13T15:58:51","date_gmt":"2025-06-13T10:58:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=77274"},"modified":"2025-06-13T15:58:51","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T10:58:51","slug":"sindh-govt-to-increase-health-budget-by-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sindh-govt-to-increase-health-budget-by-8\/","title":{"rendered":"Sindh govt to increase health budget by 8%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Sindh government has boosted its <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/taxation-policies-should-be-led-by-economic-experts-not-health-experts-ameen-virk\/\">health<\/a> budget by 8%, from Rs302 billion to Rs326 billion in this fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, the forthcoming Sindh budget 2025-26 is expected to include a wage hike of 10-20% for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sindh-cabinet-approves-increase-in-salary-pension-for-govt-employees-in-budget-2025-26\/\">government<\/a> personnel and additional job openings in provincial departments are projected.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that the Sindh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, has approved a budget of Rs3.4 trillion for the upcoming fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Sindh cabinet, during its pre-budget meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, approved the budget 2026-25 with the outlay of Rs 3451.87 billion for the next fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>The government spokesperson said that CM Murad Ali Shah will present the budget for the next financial year in the provincial assembly today at 3 pm.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, the cabinet has approved a 12 per cent salary increase for employees in grades 1 to 16, and a 10 per cent hike for employees in grades 17 to 22.<\/p>\n<p>A seven per cent rise in pension for retired government employees in the budget was also sanctioned.<\/p>\n<p>The budget anticipates Rs366 billion in foreign funding and Rs76 billion from the federal Annual Development Programme (ADP).<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet has also approved an increase in the education budget by 12% for the next fiscal year 2025-26, rising from Rs458 billion to Rs523 billion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Sindh government has boosted its health budget by 8%, from Rs302 billion to Rs326 billion in this fiscal year.
