These vehicles will be declared illegal, seized and destroyed within 30 days of seizure.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was taken in a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance chaired by Senator Saleem Mandviwala. FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial told the committee that any such vehicle will no longer be eligible for registration and will be considered smuggled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce seized, these tampered vehicles will not be auctioned or reused. Instead, they will be completely destroyed to prevent their parts from circulating in the market,\u201d Langrial said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the use or sale of spare parts of these vehicles not only supports illegal trade but also poses a serious threat to public safety.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement has raised concerns among some vehicle owners, especially those who have bought modified or imported cars in good faith. However, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/budget-2025-26-fbr-targets-rs14131-billion-in-tax-revenue\/\">FBR<\/a> has clarified that no exemptions will be granted under the new policy.<\/p>\n<p>In the same meeting, the committee also approved a proposal to increase the minimum monthly wage from Rs 37,000 to Rs 40,000.
