Monsoon winds have entered the upper reaches of the country, as a result of which a new series of rains is likely to begin.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Swat, Abbottabad and adjacent areas, which will lead to a drop in temperature and make the weather pleasant.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the possibility of rain has also been shown in Karachi, Hyderabad, Badin, Tharparkar and Khuzdar. Light and moderate rainfall may occur in these areas.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, heavy rain with gusty winds has been predicted in Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu and Jacobabad from June 22 to 24, due to which there is also a possibility of partial accumulation of water in low-lying areas.<\/p>\n<p>The Meteorological Department has issued instructions to relevant agencies to remain alert and take precautionary measures, while the public has also been appealed to exercise caution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted thunderstorms across the country from June 20 to 23.
