LAHORE: Intermittent rains<\/a> and windstorms are\u00a0<\/span>expected<\/span>\u00a0in Lahore and\u00a0<\/span>other<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>areas\u00a0<\/span>of Punjab on Friday\u00a0<\/span>evening<\/span> and during the weekend, providing relief to the residents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moist currents from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea\u00a0<\/span>invade<\/span> the upper and\u00a0<\/span>middle<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>areas<\/span>\u00a0of Pakistan<\/span>, says the Pakistan Meteorological Department<\/a> (PMD)<\/span>. A westerly wave will\u00a0<\/span>most\u00a0<\/span>likely approach the upper <\/span>reaches<\/span>\u00a0of the country tonight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isolated\u00a0<\/span>rain<\/span>\u00a0and windstorms are\u00a0<\/span>probable<\/span> in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, and Lahore on Friday <\/span>evening<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Intermittent<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>rain<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>windstorms<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>are<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>probable<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>on<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Saturday<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Sunday<\/span> in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Mianwali, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>Lahore<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan<\/span>\u00a0are also expected to experience windstorms<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lahore‘<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>highest<\/span>\u00a0temperature will\u00a0<\/span>remain\u00a0<\/span>at<\/span>\u00a041\u00b0C\u00a0<\/span>to<\/span> 43\u00b0C on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. <\/span>Hot and humid conditions <\/span>dominated<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>most\u00a0<\/span>areas<\/span>\u00a0of the province\u00a0<\/span>in<\/span>\u00a0the last 24 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bhakkar\u00a0was<\/span>\u00a0the hottest\u00a0<\/span>city<\/span>\u00a0in Punjab, where the maximum temperature\u00a0<\/span>reached<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>48\u00b0C. The maximum temperature in Attock and Dera Ghazi Khan was\u00a0<\/span>45\u00b0C.<\/span><\/p>\n
