CHAGAI: Local administration on Sunday <\/span>announced<\/span> that 1814 Pakistani citizens<\/a> have<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>also <\/span>returned <\/span>from Iran to the border district <\/span>as<\/span> hostilities in the region<\/span> are growing worse<\/span>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>So<\/span> far,<\/span> 428 pilgrims, 655 students and 566 tourists, 160 deportees, and five foreign nationals have <\/span>also <\/span>returned from Iran, officials of the border district of Chagai <\/span>added<\/span>.<\/p>\n

District <\/span>officials<\/span> reported<\/span> that 112 tourists and 24 students <\/span>arrived<\/span> at the Taftan border. All <\/span>the <\/span>facilities being <\/span>offered<\/span> to the <\/span>returning <\/span>Pakistani citizens <\/span>from the neighboring country, the deputy commissioner of Chagai <\/span>added<\/span>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Earlier, according to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>450 Pakistani pilgrims repatriated from Iran, <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
\nIshaq Dar, in a tweet, <\/span>stated<\/span> that <\/span>measures<\/span> are being taken for the return of the Pakistani students <\/span>residing<\/span> in Iran.<\/p>\n

DPM also <\/span>stated<\/span> that <\/span>Pakistan’s<\/span> embassy in Baghdad has <\/span>remained<\/span> in <\/span>touch<\/span> with the <\/span>stranded <\/span>Pakistani pilgrims <\/span>in Iraq. He <\/span>added<\/span> measures being taken for the safe <\/span>residence<\/span> of <\/span>Pakistani<\/span> pilgrims and their return home, who have been stranded in Iraq <\/span>due<\/span> to the closure of the <\/span>airspace in the <\/span>country<\/span>.

\n<\/span>Pakistan International Airlines<\/a> (PIA) <\/span>launched<\/span> a special operation to <\/span>repatriate<\/span> Pakistanis stranded in Iran <\/span>during<\/span> the Israel-Iran conflict.<\/p>\n

A PIA <\/span>flight<\/span> left<\/span> from Peshawar to Ashgabat, the capital <\/span>city <\/span>of Turkmenistan, last Tuesday to <\/span>carry<\/span> out <\/span>the evacuation.<\/p>\n

With the <\/span>help<\/span> of the Pakistani embassy, 150 Pakistanis were evacuated from<\/span>\u00a0the Iranian city of Mashhad to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.<\/p>\n

These <\/span>people<\/span>, who were <\/span>stranded<\/span> due to the <\/span>shutdown<\/span> of Iranian airspace, will be <\/span>brought<\/span> back <\/span>home<\/span> through<\/span> a special PIA flight from Ashgabat.<\/p>\n

<\/span>In<\/span> compliance with <\/span>government <\/span>instructions<\/span>, PIA has <\/span>stated<\/span> that more special<\/span>\u00a0flights will be <\/span>planned<\/span> to <\/span>facilitate<\/span> the safe <\/span>evacuation<\/span> of further stranded<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>nationals<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
