BEIJING: After the recent escalation between Pakistan and India, the first meeting between the defense ministers of the two countries is likely, according to Turkish media.<\/p>\n
The two countries are participating in a meeting together for the first time since the Indo-Pak war, and this will be the first time that any high-ranking official from either country will face their counterpart.<\/p>\n
The possible meeting of the defense ministers of Pakistan and India is likely to take place during the two-day SCO meeting starting Wednesday in China, as per the reports.<\/p>\n
The Pakistani delegation at the SCO will be led by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who has reached China, while Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will also attend the meeting along with a high-level delegation, where Rajnath Singh will also meet the defense ministers of China, Russia, and other countries.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, sources say that no meeting is scheduled between Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.<\/p>\n
The SCO meeting will discuss regional and global security, counter-terrorism cooperation, and military ties.<\/p>\n
