HAGUE: US President Donald Trump<\/a> has acknowledged that Iran fought a brave war and said talks and a possible deal could be held next week.<\/p>\n

Addressing a summit in The Hague, Trump said that Iran’s nuclear facilities have been completely destroyed. He claimed that the US successfully attacked the sites last week and did everything possible to bring peace.<\/p>\n

Trump said that the US attack resulted in a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, adding that he did not believe that another war would break out between the two. He compared the situation after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to the end of World War II.<\/p>\n

During the conversation, the US president also said that Field Marshal Asim Munir is a remarkable and inspiring figure, he visited him in his office.<\/p>\n

During the press conference, he reiterated that it was the US that ended the war between Pakistan and India.<\/p>\n

He stressed that both countries are major nuclear powers and said that he had told both India and Pakistan to focus on trade.<\/p>\n

He criticized the New York Times and CNN for spreading fake news, saying that no one pays attention to them anymore. Trump claimed that the US attacks had set Iran back years and that he was confident that everything at Fordow had been destroyed.<\/p>\n

He said that the US military was one of the best in the world and praised their “great victory”. He added that missiles were launched from US submarines, which disabled Iran’s nuclear program. He said that all incoming Iranian missiles were stopped.<\/p>\n

Regarding the attacks on Qatar, Trump said that there was no damage because the US air base had already been evacuated. He confirmed that 14 missiles were fired at the base but stressed that the US has the best weapons in the world and has played a strong role in establishing peace.<\/p>\n

Trump praised the NATO summit as a success. He met with all the leaders and insisted that the US strikes had brought stability to the region. He urged US allies to increase their defense spending and stressed that NATO countries would now allocate 5 percent of their budgets to defense, calling it a historic step.<\/p>\n

He reiterated that Iran had fought bravely and expressed openness to talks next week. Trump said the US was ready to talk to anyone who wanted peace and said Iran needed funds for reconstruction.
