{"id":78801,"date":"2025-06-27T15:26:57","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T10:26:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=78801"},"modified":"2025-06-27T15:26:57","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T10:26:57","slug":"pakistan-oilfields-announce-hydrocarbon-discovery-in-kps-karak-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-oilfields-announce-hydrocarbon-discovery-in-kps-karak-district\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan Oilfields announce hydrocarbon discovery in KP\u2019s Karak district"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"story__content  overflow-hidden          pt-2  mt-2\" dir=\"auto\">\n<p>ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) on Thursday announced a significant <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/kpogcl-invites-ep-companies-to-tap-massive-hydrocarbon-reserves-in-kp\/\">hydrocarbon discovery<\/a> at the Makori Deep-03 development well in the TAL block in Karak district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n<p>The company, along with Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), shared this development through separate notices to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased to announce that, as per information received from MOL (the operator of TAL Block), a significant quantity of hydrocarbons has been encountered from the development well, Makori Deep-03,\u201d read the notice.<\/p>\n<p>As per details, the drilling operations for the Makori Deep-03 well, operated by MOL, began on December 12, 2024, reaching a final depth of 3,887 meters.<\/p>\n<p>Post completion, the well yielded 22.08 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD), 2,112 barrels per day of condensate, and 15 barrels per day of formation water at a flowing wellhead pressure of 4,744 psi, sourced from the Lockhart Formation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"story__content  overflow-hidden          pt-2  mt-2\" dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Pakistan Oilfields Limited said the well will be connected to the production line within two months.<\/p>\n<p>The TAL joint venture comprises OGDCL (30% working interest), MOL Pakistan Oil &amp; Gas Co. B.V.
