{"id":78810,"date":"2025-06-27T15:56:14","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T10:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=78810"},"modified":"2025-06-27T15:56:14","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T10:56:14","slug":"lahore-airport-to-remain-partially-closed-to-avoid-bird-strikes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/lahore-airport-to-remain-partially-closed-to-avoid-bird-strikes\/","title":{"rendered":"Lahore airport to remain partially closed to avoid bird strikes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) said that runways at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore will temporarily be closed for three hours a day from July 1 to Sept 15.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/airspace-closed-to-indian-aircrafts-for-one-month-as-caa-issues-notam\/\">NOTAM<\/a>, &#8220;The runway closure will be in effect daily from 5 am to 8 am, starting July 1 until September 15, 2025.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The decision was taken due to the anticipated bird activity during the monsoon season, which poses a potential risk to flight safety.<\/p>\n<p>All domestic and international airlines have been directed to revise their flight schedules in accordance with the temporary closure.<\/p>\n<p>Lahore airport last year reportedly witnessed the highest number of bird strikes with 28 incidents, followed by 18 in Islamabad and 17 in Karachi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMultan reported 14 cases, while Faisalabad recorded six.
