{"id":78847,"date":"2025-06-27T22:17:13","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T17:17:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=78847"},"modified":"2025-06-27T22:17:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T17:17:13","slug":"punjab-govt-introduces-online-route-permits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-govt-introduces-online-route-permits\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab govt introduces online route permits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">LAHORE: The<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/federal-punjab-promote-21-officers-to-grade-21\/\">Punjab Transport Company<\/a> (PTC) has <span class=\"diff-highlight\">taken<\/span> a significant step towards <span class=\"diff-highlight\">going<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">digital<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">by<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">implementing<\/span> an\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">online<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">application<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">for<\/span> route permits<span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">available<\/span> through the Punjab Portal website <span class=\"diff-highlight\">from<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">now<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">on<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">details<\/span>, applicants will <span class=\"diff-highlight\">eventually<\/span> be able to access route permits <span class=\"diff-highlight\">through<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">an<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">app<\/span>, and permit fees <span class=\"diff-highlight\">will<\/span> be <span class=\"diff-highlight\">able<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">submitted<\/span> through <span class=\"diff-highlight\">various<\/span> online channels.<\/p>\n<p>The next phase of the paperless system <span class=\"diff-highlight\">will<\/span> also <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">completed<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">shortly<\/span>, which includes the introduction of online challan (fine) payments. <span class=\"diff-highlight\">As<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">with<\/span> the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/lahore\/lahore-traffic-police-unveils-app-for-faster-e-challan-recovery\/\"> traffic police system<\/a>, PTC\u00a0challans will <span class=\"diff-highlight\">eventually<\/span> be payable digitally, allowing users to pay fines <span class=\"diff-highlight\">instantaneously<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">by<\/span> using the app at the time of issuance.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Fines<\/span> were <span class=\"diff-highlight\">previously<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">only<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">able<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">be<\/span> paid <span class=\"diff-highlight\">physically<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> through National Bank branches<span class=\"diff-highlight\">.<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">This<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">new<\/span> digital system <span class=\"diff-highlight\">will<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">help<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">make<\/span> the process <span class=\"diff-highlight\">easier<\/span>\u00a0and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">more<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">efficient<\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Punjab Transport Company (PTC) has taken a significant step towards going digital by implementing an\u00a0online application for route permits, available through the Punjab Portal website from now on.
