{"id":79140,"date":"2025-07-01T14:42:40","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T09:42:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=79140"},"modified":"2025-07-01T15:49:14","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T10:49:14","slug":"mastung-tehsil-attack-leaves-one-dead-eight-injured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/mastung-tehsil-attack-leaves-one-dead-eight-injured\/","title":{"rendered":"Mastung tehsil attack leaves one dead, eight injured"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MASTUNG: At least one individual was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/gaza-rescuers-report-23-killed-by-israeli-forces-including-children\/\">killed<\/a> and eight others sustained injuries as the militants attacked the Tehsil office in Balochistan&#8217;s Mastung district on Tuesday, according to media reports.<\/p>\n<p>The unknown terrorists attacked three <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/banks-to-remain-closed-on-may-01\/\">banks<\/a> in the area and also burned down three government vehicles and stormed a government office in Mastung city, according to the police.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased was a passerby who was caught in the crossfire, and the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for advanced medical treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Markets and shops were immediately closed as fear spread among residents. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an operation to apprehend the assailants.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Pakistani security forces conducted a successful operation in Balochistan, killing two Indian-backed terrorists and arresting two others, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).<\/p>\n<p>The operation took place on June 28 in Duki district and was based on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists affiliated with India&#8217;s proxy group &#8220;Fatana Hind&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ISPR, the security forces effectively targeted the terrorists&#8217; hideouts. In a fierce exchange of fire, two Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed, while two others were arrested.<\/p>\n<p>A large quantity of arms, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the possession of the terrorists. The captured militants were involved in several terrorist operations in the area.
