{"id":79316,"date":"2025-07-02T22:43:34","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T17:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=79316"},"modified":"2025-07-02T22:43:34","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T17:43:34","slug":"pm-shehbaz-to-depart-for-baku-to-participate-in-17th-eco-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-shehbaz-to-depart-for-baku-to-participate-in-17th-eco-summit\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Shehbaz to depart for Baku to participate in 17th ECO summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-shehbaz-sharif-leaves-for-one-day-uae-visit\/\">Shehbaz Sharif<\/a> will attend the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) in Baku, Azerbaijan, from July 3-4, the Foreign Office (FO) said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The PM will \u201cshare Pakistan\u2019s perspective on key regional and global challenges, reaffirm Pakistan\u2019s commitment to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-shehbaz-directs-formation-of-three-specialized-committees-to-promote-cashless-economy\/\">ECO<\/a> Vision 2025, and advocate for enhanced intra-regional trade, transport connectivity, energy cooperation, and sustainable development\u201d, said the FO in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with other world leaders to discuss issues of mutual interest and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of the summit is \u2018New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate Resilient Future\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>However, Pakistan was represented by caretaker PM Anwar-ul-haq kakar in the 16th ECO summit, held from November 9, 2023, in Tashkent.<\/p>\n<p>In order to accomplish progress and prosperity via delicate economic integration, the summit will bring together ECO heads of state or government, ministers, observers, special guests from non-ECO nations, and heads of international organizations, according to a statement released by ECO.<\/p>\n<p>The summit will include a &#8220;dynamic and inclusive ECO Week,&#8221; which will take place across several Azerbaijani cities from July 1\u20134.
