{"id":79372,"date":"2025-07-03T14:10:14","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T09:10:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=79372"},"modified":"2025-07-03T14:10:14","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T09:10:14","slug":"pmdc-unveils-mdcat-2025-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/pmdc-unveils-mdcat-2025-date\/","title":{"rendered":"PMDC unveils MDCAT 2025 date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) on Thursday announced the date of the Medical and Dental Colleges Entrance Test (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/expected-entry-test-date-for-mdcat-2025-in-pakistan-announced\/\">MDCAT<\/a>) 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination chaired by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani.<\/p>\n<p>Briefing the committee about the upcoming test, PMDC officials said that MDCAT 2025 will be held simultaneously across the country on Sunday, October 5, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Briefing the committee about MDCAT 2025, PMDC officials said that the medical and dental college entrance tests will be held simultaneously across the country on October 5, 2025 (Sunday).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) on Thursday released the new syllabus for the Medical and Dental Colleges Entrance Test (MDCAT) 2025.<\/p>\n<p>According to PMDC President Dr. Rizwan Taj, the revised test will include five subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning.<\/p>\n<p>The exam will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will be of three hours duration. The question paper will be entirely MCQ-based and there will be no negative marking. The questions will be graded as 15% easy, 70% moderate and 15% difficult.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rizwan Taj said that a minimum of 55% marks will be required for admission to medical colleges and 50% marks for admission to dental colleges.<\/p>\n<p>PMDC has also started the process of preparing a question bank for the exam.
