ISLAMABAD: The residents of twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been enjoying light intermittent rain<\/a> and pleasant weather for the last few days as the Monsoon season finally begins in the country.<\/p>\n

The light thundershowers, which are expected to continue all day long, will provide much-needed relief to the residents from the scorching heat and dry weather.<\/p>\n

Moist<\/span> currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are<\/span> penetrating<\/span> most<\/span> of Pakistan, according<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> Pakistan<\/span> Meteorological<\/span> Department<\/span> <\/a>(<\/span>PMD<\/span>),<\/span> and<\/span> a<\/span> westerly wave is<\/span> prevailing<\/span> over most of Pakistan<\/span>.<\/div>\n

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country.<\/div>\n

However, rain-wind\/thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, upper Punjab, Potohar region, Islamabad, and Upper\/central Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A few heavy falls are also likely during the period.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
