{"id":79955,"date":"2025-07-09T20:04:54","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T15:04:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=79955"},"modified":"2025-07-09T20:04:54","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T15:04:54","slug":"govt-announces-major-electricity-relief-for-july-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/govt-announces-major-electricity-relief-for-july-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt announces major electricity relief for July 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/nepra-approves-reduction-in-electricity-tariff\/\">Nepra<\/a>) has announced a reduction in electricity tariffs for July, providing a major relief to electricity consumers benefiting millions of households across the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to an official notification issued on Wednesday, electricity tariffs have been reduced by 50 paisa per unit for consumers of state-owned distribution companies (DISCOs), while K-Electric consumers in Karachi will see a significant reduction of Rs 4.34 per unit in their bills.<\/p>\n<p>The revised tariffs will be reflected in the electricity bills for July.<\/p>\n<p>Nepra has issued a notification for the reduction in electricity prices under the monthly Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA). Electricity prices have been reduced for K-Electric consumers for April 2025, while a reduction has also been approved for consumers of state-owned distribution companies (DISCOs) for May 2025.<\/p>\n<p>K-Electric had requested NEPRA to reduce the tariff by Rs 4.60 per unit under the FCA mechanism.
