{"id":80339,"date":"2025-07-14T10:26:25","date_gmt":"2025-07-14T05:26:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=80339"},"modified":"2025-07-14T10:26:25","modified_gmt":"2025-07-14T05:26:25","slug":"weather-alert-heavy-monsoon-rains-to-continue-across-country","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/weather\/weather-alert-heavy-monsoon-rains-to-continue-across-country\/","title":{"rendered":"Weather alert: Heavy monsoon rains to continue across country"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Pakistani citizens have been experiencing heavy rainfalls since early July, which has brought relief from the scorching heat; however, due to the country&#8217;s poor infrastructure, continuous heavy rainfalls have caused<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/world\/death-toll-hits-104-in-texas-flash-floods-amid-widespread-devastation\/\"> flash floods.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/weather\/weather-alert-pmd-warns-of-heavy-rainfall-across-country\/\">Pakistan Meteorological\u00a0 Department<\/a>, <span class=\"Editor_t__added__LtuNJ\">Flash floods are likely to be caused by\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"Editor_t__not_edited_long__JuNNx\">heavy to very heavy rains\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"Editor_t__not_edited_long__JuNNx\">in local nullahs\/streams of Murree, Galliyat, Manshera, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Buner, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Islamabad\/Rawalpindi, Hill torrents of D.G Khan, Northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and <\/span><span class=\"Editor_t__not_edited__WuRP8\">Balochistan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Landslides\/mudslides can\u00a0result\u00a0in the blocking of roads\u00a0in the\u00a0risk-prone\u00a0hilly\u00a0tracts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n<p>Heavy Rainfall\u00a0can\u00a0lead\u00a0to\u00a0urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad\/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Nowshera, and Peshawar. Caution is recommended for the public.<\/p>\n<p>Windstorms can cause damage to loose structures such as electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels etc. The public is warned to exercise caution.<\/p>\n<h2>Synoptic Situation<\/h2>\n<p>Monsoon currents are entering the nation from the Arabian Sea &amp; Bay of Bengal (night).
