The policy also prohibits the use of official uniforms in videos or photos for personal promotional purposes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny violation of this policy will result in departmental disciplinary action,\u201d the IG warned, adding that the policy will remain in force until further notice.<\/p>\n<p>Key directives outlined in the policy include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strict prohibition on uploading any confidential or official documents on social platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Complete ban on expressing political or religious views by police personnel online.<\/li>\n<li>Only the Public Relations Branch is authorized to publicize police activities on social media.<\/li>\n<li>Officers must formally seek permission before uploading any departmental videos or content.<\/li>\n<li>Unit heads will be held responsible for monitoring the social media conduct of officers under their command.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Police has issued a comprehensive social media policy for all federal police officers and personnel, which imposes strict restrictions on their online activities.
